Legal notice

Your contract is with CPX Studio e.U., a registered sole proprietorship ("e.U.") based in Austria. It owns the Laminarte brand, runs this shop, takes your payment and issues the receipt. That is why the charge on your card statement and the receipt you receive say CPX Studio e.U. and not Laminarte.

We sell from Austria because our payment provider, Stripe, does not operate in Costa Rica. Payments are processed there and settled to the Austrian company; nothing about this changes what you pay or where your skin comes from.

Laminarte is the trade name under which CPX Studio e.U. offers phone skins in Costa Rica. The name, the logo, the shop design and the catalogue artwork belong to CPX Studio e.U. or are licensed to it. Laminarte is not a separate company and has no legal personality of its own.

If you ever need the formal name of the seller, for a warranty claim, a bank query or a receipt, it is CPX Studio e.U..

We do not run a factory. The skin sheets come from specialised manufacturers, and the cutting to your exact phone model, the quality check and the hand-over to Correos de Costa Rica are done by independent fulfilment partners in Costa Rica who work with us as freelancers. They receive your name, phone number and delivery address for that purpose and nothing else.

Our partners act on our behalf. If anything goes wrong with the cut or the delivery, you deal with us, never with them, and we make it right.

When you order a design from the catalogue, what you pay for is a personal, non-transferable licence to use that design on the phone model you chose, delivered to you as a skin cut for that model. The design itself stays the property of CPX Studio e.U. or of the artist who licensed it to us; you may not copy, resell, reprint or redistribute it.

The price includes the licence, the sheet material, the cut, the quality check and the hand-over to Correos. This is also why a skin is tied to the phone model you picked: the licence covers your phone, not a template to produce more.

If you upload your own photo or artwork, it stays yours. You grant CPX Studio e.U. and its fulfilment partners a licence only to store, print, cut and ship it for your order, and to keep it for as long as we need to handle that order and any complaint about it.

You confirm that you own the image or have permission to use it, and that it is not unlawful or offensive. We may decline to print images that infringe someone else's rights, show brands, logos or characters you do not hold the rights to, or that we consider inappropriate; in that case you are refunded. Custom designs are printed exactly as you framed them in the editor. If the editor warned you that the resolution was low and you chose to continue, the print will be blurry or pixelated and cannot be replaced for that reason.

All prices are shown and charged in Costa Rican colones (₡) and include 13 % IVA. Amounts in US dollars are informational, converted at the Central Bank of Costa Rica reference rate of the day; your card is charged in colones. Your bank may apply its own conversion if your account is in another currency.

Shipping is shown before you pay. Promotion codes are applied at checkout and shown on the receipt.

We deliver only inside Costa Rica, through Correos de Costa Rica. Orders placed on a business day before noon are usually cut the same day and handed to Correos; later orders go out the next business day. Delivery usually takes one business day in the Greater Metropolitan Area and up to three elsewhere. You get the tracking number by email.

Dates are estimates. If a shipment is lost, we send a new one or refund you.

Every skin is cut to order for your phone model, and custom prints carry your own image, so these are personalised goods: there is no right of withdrawal or change-of-mind return once the cut has been made (this follows the Austrian Distance Selling Act, FAGG § 18, and does not limit your rights under Costa Rican consumer law, Ley 7472).

If the skin arrives damaged, does not fit the model you ordered, or is not what you ordered, write to us within 14 days with a photo and your order number. We replace it or refund you, at our cost.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. on behalf of CPX Studio e.U.. Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link are accepted. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure page or in your wallet and never reach our servers; we only receive a confirmation of payment and the last four digits for support.

The shop is served over HTTPS. Receipts are sent by email and can be downloaded as a PDF from the order confirmation page.

We store what an order needs: your name, email, phone number, delivery address, what you ordered and, for custom designs, the image you uploaded. We pass the delivery details to the partner who cuts and ships your order and to Correos. We use Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and Google Cloud (Firebase) to host the shop and its data. You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data at hola@mail.laminarte.shop.

Cookies: we only set what the shop needs to work: your language, your currency and theme choice, and, if you arrived through a partner link, a 30-day cookie that credits that partner. Your cart lives in your browser. We count page views and purchases with a first-party identifier stored in your browser, with no advertising networks and no third-party tracking cookies. Marketing emails are sent only if you opt in, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
